# Beginner's Corner

## Welcome to the Beginner's Corner!

There's a lot of information available both here on SyntaSk and elsewhere. While every bit of wisdom is helpful and important, it is hardly possible to take it all in at once, and can be pretty overwhelming. The Beginner's Corner is a simplified page that will cut out anything extra and focus on getting you started on writing code that (hopefully) works.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Disclaimer:**\
To avoid overwhelming anyone (even complete beginners!), this page covers only an overview of the bare minimum. Thus, it should not be treated as an in-depth tutorial covering everything one needs to know, it is merely a simple point to start from.

To extend upon the information of this page, see the [Fundamentals category](/syntask/fundamentals.md) along with the rest of SyntaSk for more diverse and expansive information. The [Resources page](/syntask/resources.md) also contains links to external tutorials and other forms of support and education.
{% endhint %}

This section will walk you through creating a simple example script that will send customisable welcome messages when players connect to your server. Along the way, the skills and processes you use and develop are basic requirements transferable to all future scripts.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://x8ight.gitbook.io/syntask/beginners-corner.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
