# Continues

The `continue` effect will continue a loop (or multiple loops) by skipping the current iteration.

{% hint style="warning" %}
A `continue` will only terminate the current iteration in a loop, but leave the rest of the loop alone. To terminate an entire loop, see the [Stops & Exits page](/syntask/limiters/terminators/stops-and-exits.md).
{% endhint %}

Syntax:\
`continue [this loop|[the] [current] loop]`\
`continue [the] %integer%(st|nd|rd|th) loop`

{% hint style="info" %}
Not sure what loops or an iteration is? See the (not-yet-created) Loops page.
{% endhint %}
